Turkey, Antalya, Delphin Imperial Hotel Lara

The Delphin Imperial Hotel Lara is extremely beautiful and clearly designed for elegant relaxation. Featuring ten panoramic elevators, seven "a la carte" restaurants, sixteen bars, a shopping center, Spa, two tennis courts,  water slides and a children's amusement park. For me, the huge pier with an integrated bar looks the best spot to relax the day away here at that fantastic strip of sand called Lara beach in Turkey.

Turkey, Turkish Mediterranean Coast, Antalya

I do love this strip of sand on the Turkish Mediterranean Coast and it's no surprise we are here again as it does have some of the best hotels to choose from. Here in Antalya again and this is one for those that remember the supersonic passenger jet Concorde. As you will find from the map link below it is shaped as a plane with wings too! An amazing design and equally amazing surroundings, service and the all important food - The usual All Inclusive buffet style layout with some A la Carte restaurants to choose from at a small additional cost. Come on in and cruise here at The Concorde De Luxe Resort Turkey.

Turkey - Istanbul

Once the center of the world and boasting half a million inhabitants more than a thousand years ago Istanbul, known once as Constantinople, is probably steeped in more history than any other city in the world. Here are some tourist traps that you must not miss.

Turkey - Aksaray & Sultanhanı

Before reaching the town of Aksaray travelling between Konya and Cappadocia (D300), you can visit the Sultanhani caravanserai which is fortified place of welcome for the caravans. Built in the 1200s and is one of the best preserved caravanserais built by the sultans.

Turkey - Aphrodisias

Aphrodisias, named after the goddess of love Aphrodite, is placed around 60 miles east of Ephesus and not written about much in any guide books I have come across but well worth a visit.

Turkey - Ephesus

Here in Turkey is the little known ruins of Ephesus and the Celsus Library Facade destroyed in a fire nearly 2000 years ago. Ephesus was an ancient Greek city and later a major Roman city

Cappadocia

When you think of Turkey for a holiday destination many would think of sand or pebble beaches with lots of bars and a large indoor market or bizarre.

Turkey, Cappadocia
Turkey, Cappadocia.

For the more adventurous out there I would take a closer look at Cappadocia right next to Göreme.
