Quinta da Regaleira & Sintra located just a bus or train ride from
Lisbon. Consists of visits to
Pena National Palace, this huge well or inverted tower (pictured above and below) with steps leading down to tunnels leading back to the some beautiful laid out gardens and follies. I only discovered this just a few short months back and is already on my weekender list. there are many more attractions to visit in this area as well as a good handful of nice restaurants. Allow the whole day to visit this area.
